Clive Pearson is the former Principal of UTC and Head of the School of Theology, CSU. For 25 years he has been teaching, writing and supervising on: the relationship of gospel and culture, what happens to people’s beliefs when they migrate; what does faith look like in diaspora and across generations; to what extent is the Uniting Church really ‘multicultural’ and aversive racism; climate change in the Pacific. During his time as Principal all candidates for ministry had to do a course in the practice of cross-cultural ministry and theology. He was a member of SPATS (South Pacific Association of Theological Schools) and ex officio on the Korean Presbytery (he wrote the theological case arguing for its existence) and is on the editorial board of the KoreanPresbyterian Journal of Theology. He is the editor-in-chief of the International Journal of Public Theology which now features articles from wider cross-section of cultures.
